Comcept, Keiji Inafune’s studio that’s working on his latest game, released some gameplay footage of Mighty No. 9 specifically for PAX 2014, which has now been shared with those of us who couldn’t make it.
You’ll see lots of running, jumping, pew-pewing and even dashing. There’s plenty of stage type action happening here.
In addition to some standard in-stage gameplay, we also see our new robot hero taking on No. 7, No. 6 and No. 3, bosses that will likely cause a lot of retro-esque frustration once in play with consumers who are currently waiting for this game to drop. Don’t worry, we even get a glimpse at No. 9 using these downed foes’ abilities.
Yep, it looks a whole lot like Mega Man. Thanks, Inafune!
Mighty No. 9, thanks to its incredibly successful Kickstarter campaign, is set to release for the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC platforms. The exact release date has not been announced, but Comcept has April of 2015 in its sights.
Stay tuned for more.
