iPhone 6: Parts Show Gold, Silver, Gray Options

We have long been expecting Apple to launch its iPhone 6 in three different color schemes, including silver, space gray and gold, which are the same colors hues available for the iPhone 5s. Today a new leak from Nowhereelse.fr reaffirms our suspicions that Apple won’t deviate from those color choices when it launches its new iPhones.

The parts are simple but telling. We have a quick look at the metal SIM card slots and Touch ID home buttons for the alleged iPhone 6. These parts typically match the external body color of the iPhone and, as you can see, we’re looking at silver, a space gray hue and a gold option. Just like on the iPhone 5s, the Touch ID sensor has a bit of a metal border running around it that matches the iPhone’s body. So, with the gold iPhone for example, there’s a gold border around the white Touch ID home button.

Finally, there’s another look at the redesigned speaker for the iPhone 6, a vibration motor and the Apple logo that will allegedly sit embedded in the back panel. We saw the speaker recently but we’re not quite sure what it will mean just yet. It could suggest louder audio, or it could simply have been redesigned due to the industrial changes required to accommodate for the larger 4.7-inch display.

All signs are pointing to Sept. 9 for Apple’s press event, where we’ll finally understand what all of this means and where we’ll also apparently see the iWatch and 5.5-inch iPhone Air.
