PlayStation Flash Sale Drops Twenty PS3 and PS Vita Games to $9.99 Each

Resident Evil Revelations HD (3)

PlayStation Weekend Flash Sales are a wonderful thing. In recent weeks, Sony has dropped the price of countless great PS1 and PlayStation 2 Classics to just a dollar each. My PlayStation 3 and PS Vita are now full blown retro machines that can play games from all the way back to the mid 90’s. So happy…

In this weekend’s sale the focus is more modern based. Twenty games from the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita have been seemingly chosen at random for a price drop to just $9.99. No general theme or order among them, just a massive sale full of great deals. Check out the list below.

  • Metro: Last Light
  • Darksiders II
  • DmC Devil May Cry
  • BioShock Infinite
  • XCOM: Enemy Unknown
  • BioShock 2: Ultimate Edition
  • God of War: Collection PS3
  • God of War: Collection (PS Vita)
  • Starhawk Ultimate Edition
  • Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two (PS Vita)
  • Wonderbook: Walking with Dinosaurs
  • The Sly Collection
  • The Sly Collection (PS Vita)
  • Prototype 2
  • Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires
  • Persona 4 Arena
  • Tales of Graces f
  • Street Fighter X Tekken (PS Vita)
  • Lost Planet 3
  • Resident Evil Revelations

Like I said, no real rhyme or reason, just sales.

Any great games in this bunch? Absolutely! Resident Evil Revelations was the best Resident Evil game of the generation, and it should be enjoyable to both the longtime and newcomer fanbases. My other favorite game of the bunch, XCOM Enemy Unknown, also gets special mention for surviving on the series’ classic formula and for being the best strategy game on modern day consoles.

You can’t go wrong with The Sly Cooper Collection either as all three games are wonderful platformers from back when the genre had a bit more merit. I’m not the biggest God of War fan, but it also is a widely praised series and has a collection on sale for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

Persona 4: Arena is a great fighting game for those who love the RPG series. BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite, and Metro: Last Light are all solid FPS games if you are looking for a little atmosphere and story to go along with your blazing guns. The DmC reboot has its fans, and I know Darksiders II was a pretty decent hit too.

A lot of these games are in the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection, meaning I can’t buy or permanently own them, but you might be able to. Check out the sale and see if there is anything for you.
