Droid Turbo Leaks Out With Some Killer Specs

Motorola is already expected to announce a handful of new devices next month, but it looks like the company could have one more gadget to share. A new smartphone called the Droid Turbo leaked out today in a pair of screenshots sent to Android Authority, revealing a high-end device with some seriously impressive hardware that could be headed to Verizon later this year.

The Droid Turbo appears to offer a 1440 x 2560-pixel display at 640 dots per inch (DPI), which would put the screen size at roughly 4.59 inches across its diagonal. The device also comes equipped with a 2.65GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, a 20-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and Android 4.4 KitKat. Of course it’s possible these screenshots could be fake but considering those specs we’re hoping it turns out to be real.

With Motorola set to share some big news at an event set for September 4 it’s possible we could see the Droid Turbo announced early next month. Then again, the company is already expected to unveil the Moto 360, the Moto X+1 and the Moto G2 in one day so adding a fourth device to the list might be overkill. If the Turbo is still in early development it could be a while before it gets an official launch, though we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any more news on the alleged device ahead of Motorola’s big announcement.
