iPad Air 2 Internal Hardware Leaks For First Time

We’ve been treated to near endless leaks of iPhone 6 hardware but, while Apple is also expected to upgrade its iPad Air and iPad mini sometime this fall, we haven’t seen too many pictures of those devices. Today we’re getting a tiny glimpse of what is allegedly some of the internal hardware for the iPad Air 2.

The images were published by iPhonote, a site we admittedly are not familiar with, and it says that the part photos were provided by an insider in Apple’s supply chain out of Shenzhen. Included in the gallery above, you’ll find what is allegedly the GPS cabling for the iPad Air 2, the Wi-Fi cable and a possible microphone part that has an Apple logo on it. In some instances, iPhonote compared the parts with the first generation iPad Air components, though we weren’t able to gather any information on possible spec bumps from these parts alone.

Apple’s new iPads are expected in the coming months and should pack faster processors and Touch ID. Hopefully we learn more soon.
