After some speculation and doubt, we now have official word regarding Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s presence on the Wii U. That is, it doesn’t have a presence. It’s not happening.
Here’s Michael Condrey, Sledgehammer Games Co-Founder.
@1422644 no, no WiiU. That was an Activision decision. We are focused on XboxOne, PS4, and PC.

When Condrey says “we,” he of course means Sledgehammer Games. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Advanced Warfare are being developed by High Moon Studios, the company responsible for Deadpool and Transformers games as of late.
So, bummer, no Call of Duty for the Wii U this year. As I illustrated in an editorial yesterday, missing these types of games on Nintendo machines doesn’t really bother me personally.
In all honesty, I just hope Nintendo is in the midst of developing an advanced warfare game of their own.
A guy can dream, right?
