Reddit is Heading to Xbox One with ReddX

If you’ve ever been sitting in front of your Xbox One and thought things like, “I want to see lots of cat pictures,” or “I wish I could watch people get angry at each other over cat pictures,” then this news should excite you.

A new app called ReddX, available now on Xbox One, will let you browse Reddit right from the comfort of your couch. You can check out image posts and view galleries, as well as viewing and even rewinding gifs. Embedded YouTube videos are viewable, as well. Using Xbox One SmartGlass, you can create posts, too.

The app comes with a full suite of voice commands, so if you’ve been waiting your whole life to say “Upvote!” and have something actually happen, ReddX is the way to do it.

Regardless of what you or I might think of ReddX though, it’s great to see more and more apps hitting the Xbox One, giving us more ways to use the system between the torrent of games about to hit us starting in just a couple weeks.
