To The Moon is still one of the most gorgeous games of the past half a decade, and Freebird Games is finally about to make the magic happen again. Its highly anticipated follow-up, A Bird’s Tale, finally has a confirmed release date of Nov. 5 for PC, Mac and Linux.
Freebird Games describes it as a “an hour-long adventure game about a boy who found an injured bird.” The game will feature very little spoken dialogue and instead will be told entirely through its beautiful 16-bit visuals and developer Kan Gao’s orchestrated soundtrack. A Bird’s Tale will act as a bridge between To The Moon and the true episode 2 of Kan’s series revolving around dreams and memories.
At the same time, it is also meant to be seen as a standalone game.
A Bird’s Tale will be released through Steam, GOG, and other channels on Nov. 5. Preview clips of its soundtrack can be found at Bandcamp.
