When the first device in this family came out, everyone thought the company was crazy. I know I did. But we couldn’t have been more wrong. Now in its third iteration, and this lineup has become the standard by which all other large devices are measured. It has also arguably begun to outshine another stalwart in this company’s arsenal, which is an achievement in and of itself.
It’s become very clear that this device comes out in the fall as an end-of-year showcase used to go up against a specific competitor. The next iteration, which we’re pretty sure is coming early next month, will no doubt be the company’s best—and by a long shot, too. We’ve seen possible specs, design, and we’ve also heard of some potential features. All that’s missing is a proper announcement.
The device you see above was easily one of last year’s best, though the gimmicky design still left a lot to be desired. That didn’t necessarily take much away from the overall quality, but we’re hoping this year the company changes up the formula. Evidence suggests we’ll be seeing something that’s decidedly next generation. If so, this could certainly be a contender as one of the year’s best.
