LG on Thursday announced a new version of its G Pad 8.0 tablet that packs LTE radios for faster data connectivity on the go. The device follows in the trails of the G Pad 7.0 with LTE, which is already available on several U.S. carriers.
The G Pad 8.0 was first introduced in June, and the LTE model packs the same specs as the original Wi-Fi-only device. The G Pad 8.0 is equipped with an 8-inch display with as 1280 x 800-pixel resolution, a 1.2GHz quad core processor, 16GB of storage that can be expanded using a microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
LG didn’t announce pricing for the G Pad 8.0 with LTE, which will launch in white, black, orange and blue, but it will begin shipping in Europe this week. It will also eventually be sold in South America, Central America, Asia and CIS.
