iPhone 6: 23 Fresh Hardware Photos Revealed

Last week we were treated to several photos of parts for the alleged iPhone 6 and the iPhone Air. It was the first time we had a chance to see some of the hardware, and today Nowhereelse.fr is adding several more to the bunch. One part in particular stands out to us.

First, we’re getting a look at the embedded Apple logo, which Apple is adding to the back of the phone for the first time in years. It might not seem like a big deal at first, but some speculation suggests it could be used to help the antenna signal, though that’s completely up for debate at this point. Additionally, we see the metal parts for the Lightning port connector, an alleged clasp for the SIM card port, the home button Touch ID body and a ring for the 3.5mm headphone jack. Then there’s the part we still find to be somewhat fishy.

As we saw last week, the larger iPhone (which may be called the iPhone Air) will apparently have an external ring that surrounds the camera lens. We’re not quite sure why Apple wants to include this feature, which raises above the surface and seems to ruin the flat topography of the iPhone Air. It’s showing up in these leaks for a reason, so either all of these parts are incorrect, or Apple does plan to add that external ring for one reason or another. Maybe it will boost the camera performance? We’ll need to wait until at least Sept. 9 to find out.
