Microsoft reportedly has a few smartphones in the works, with recent rumors suggesting two new devices could hit the market later this year. We’ve already seen photos of the company’s upcoming flagship phone, codenamed Tesla, and now we’re getting a look at the rumored Superman “selfie phone” that’s also expected to launch in the not-too-distant future with a 4.7-inch display and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
A new photo published by Windows Phone Central shows the unfinished smartphone in lime green from the front and back. The device sports a mid-sized rear camera and a small flash module, and you can definitely see a front-facing camera in the top corner. The selfie smartphone also appears to be running an upcoming firmware update called Lumia Debian Red, though it’s unclear what new features or improvements it might bring.
Alongside the Tesla, this new selfie smartphone could be the first Windows Phone device released directly from Microsoft and we’re curious to see how the company will market its new handsets. The leaked phone pictured above is covered in Nokia branding, suggesting that for now Microsoft won’t be sticking its own logo on these devices instead.
