Samsung on Tuesday sent out invites for its “Unpacked 2014 Episode 2” event, with festivities set to kick off on Wednesday, Sept. 3.
The annual IFA tech show has always been dominated by Samsung’s Galaxy Note, and it looks like the company is prepping its next big phablet. “Note the date!” the invite says. That right there is enough to indicate we’ll be seeing the Note 4. Also present is that familiar dial that pops up with the use of Samsung’s S Pen technology..
There have been a lot of rumors surrounding Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4, with reports suggesting it’ll be a pretty significant upgrade. At the very least, we’re expecting to see a Quad Hd display, 2.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 16-megapixel camera, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Beyond that, rumors suggest we might see some crazy new tech, including advanced eye-scanning security and an ultrasound S Pen.
We’ll be in Berlin to see the Galaxy Note 4 first-hand, along with anything else Samsung announces. The company’s event is being held a week before one of its closest competitors, Apple, is expected to unveil its iPhone 6, so things are about to be taken up a notch real soon.
