Surface Pro 3: Core i7 and Core i3 Models Now Available

When Microsoft first started selling the Surface Pro 3, it only made the model with an Intel Core i5 processor available for immediate purchase. As of today, you can now buy — not just pre-order — the more expensive Core i7 and more affordable Core i3 models of the tablet/laptop hybrid device.

Until today, the most affordable Surface Pro 3 model was the Core i5 version with 128GB of storage, which was priced at $999. Now, however, you can opt for the new entry-level Intel Core i3 model with 64GB of storage for $799. On the high end, above the $1,299 256GB Core i5 model, you can now also purchase a more powerful Intel Core i7 model with 256GB of hard drive space for $1,549.00, or the most premium model that packs a Core i7 processor and 512GB of storage for $1,949.00.

We loved the Surface Pro 3 Core i5 model, which we reviewed back in early June, when we awarded it 9/10 on our ratings scale. At that time, Microsoft said the Core i3 and Core i7 models weren’t going to ship until late August, so this is a welcome surprise. Hit the source link to the Microsoft Store where you can grab one now.
