You might instantly recognize the upcoming PlayStation exclusive Hohokum because of its interesting look and seemingly soothing sense of play. In truth, I recognize it for those things, too.
However, I also recognize the title because of its soundtrack. I’m a big fan of the things that record label Ghostly International produces, and its stable of artists make up a lot of the tunes that I listen to throughout my work day.
You should know, then, that Hohokum‘s soundtrack was produced in conjunction with Ghostly. Artists like Tycho, Com Truise and Shigeto do up the music behind the crazy looking little game. That soundtrack has been made available for our pleasure ahead of the game’s release, and you can listen to it right here.
Hohokum itself is set to release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita on Aug. 12. It’s part of Sony’s PLAY program, a deal that lets you earn some free money by buying multiple games this month.
I know, money for buying games, it’s some sort of backwards logic, but I don’t mind. Listen to the tunes, read more about PLAY and enjoy Hohokum when it launches. Or don’t, whatever, I’m not the boss of you.
I’m not even your real dad.
