Last month Apple unveiled a cheaper 21.5-inch iMac for just over $1,000, but it looks like the company could be prepping a refreshed 27-inch iMac as well. The large-screened desktop computer was spotted on an Apple support page, suggesting another iMac could hit the market in the very near future.

We’re not sure exactly what to expect from the new 27-inch iMac. Apple’s refreshed 21-inch desktop offered mid-range specs and a price to match, so it’s possible Cupertino could take the same route with its bigger model. On the other hand, references to a Retina display iMac in the OS X Yosemite beta have us thinking this may be a high-end computer instead.

Either way, it probably won’t be too long before the new 27-inch iMac is announced. It’s already mid-2014, so if Apple has a new desktop computer in the works we’re guessing it’s pretty much ready to launch. There’s also that rumored Mac mini refresh, suggesting the company may be gearing up to make a few big updates for its desktop lineup in the very near future.
