Alongside new phones, tablets and even a smartwatch, Apple is also expected to announce a refreshed MacBook Pro by the end of the year. Now we’re getting a peak at what an updated 15-inch Retina display laptop might bring, thanks to a photo allegedly leaked early by an Apple store in China.

According to in-store materials, the MacBook Pro will offer improved specs at the same price of existing models, at least for the 15-inch Retina model. Apple’s cheapest 15-inch Retina MacBook currently offers a 2GHz Intel Core i7 processor and 8GB of RAM for 14,288 yuan ($1,999 in the U.S.), but the new baseline model could pack 16GB of RAM and a 2.2GHz processor for the same price. The next step up could offer an even faster 2.5GHz chip (up from 2.3GHz) and the same 16GB of RAM for 18,688 yuan ($2,599 in the U.S.). There’s also a super-fancy 23,688 yuan model, which offers a 2.8GHz processor.

Another site, MacG, said that the pictures are legitimate and that Apple is planning to launch the new MacBook as early as tomorrow. We’ll be sure to let you know if that actually happens. We’re also expecting a Retina display MacBook Air and a rumored 12-inch Apple laptop to launch later this year, in case the MacBook Pro doesn’t suit your fancy.
