Surprise! The Ratchet & Clank Collection Hits PS Vita This Week

Well, Sony sort of snuck this one into their weekly slate of game releases on the PlayStation Blog.

The Ratchet & Clank Collection, which includes the original three titles remastered, will hit the PS Vita in digital form when the store updates. “Digital form?” Yep, that’s it. Sony did not indicate a physical release for the trilogy, something that already exists for the PlayStation 3.

Might want to save up for a memory card if you’re a big Ratchet & Clank fan. This collection is pretty great, and the games held up perfectly well on the PlayStation 3 in my book.

Sony did not mention any Cross Save support for this trilogy and the one on the PlayStation 3. They also didn’t mention a price point. The cost of the trilogy on the PlayStation 3 in digital form, for reference, is $29.99.

I might take the plunge again. Ratchet has always been one of my favorite series, and playing the originals again on the PS Vita sounds like a nice way to relax. Anyone else?
