Styx: Master of Shadows Gets Summer Trailer, Does Not Involve Mr. Roboto

I’ll admit it, Styx: Master of Shadows looks like a great stealth game with an interesting hook. It’s actually a title that’s slowly snuck onto my need-to-play list, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it.

With that said, I can’t help but read the title of this game and think of nothing but “Come Sail Away” and “Mr. Roboto.” I guess that makes me a huge nerd.

The summer trailer provides a quick look at one of the environments our goblin hero Styx needs to sneak through in order to make off with some sweet, sweet loot. There’s even a hulking humanoid at the end of the space that’s sure to cause some problems for the tiny thief.

Don’t let all the PlayStation branding fool you, owners of other platforms. Styx: Master of Shadows is definitely coming for the PlayStation 4, but it’s also slated for the Xbox One and PC. So, we’re not looking at a console exclusive here.

Styx has my interest, and I’ll be watching it between now and release in order to form a stronger opinion. Now, as for its release. This game is labelled as “Coming Soon.” No more, no less.

I assume “soon” means 2014, so let’s go with that.
