Don’t Starve’s Cooperative Play Shown off in Prototype Gameplay Video

Klei has released some early prototype gameplay of Don’t Starve Together, the upcoming multiplayer update to the desperately tough survival title Don’t Starve. Remember, early prototype means rough gameplay and the potential for change.

The video shows off what happens when a player dies in multiplayer, at least for now. You’ll become a ghost, haunt the level and eventually get the option to respawn by haunting some sort of meat effigy.

The whole thing is creepy, which is completely in line with what Don’t Starve has been since the beginning.

Currently, Don’t Starve‘s multiplayer element is only definitely coming to the PC platforms. Klei has said that it wants to bring the mode to PlayStation 4 owners, but that definite eventuality has not been confirmed yet.
