OneNote, Microsoft’s note-taking app, has been available on Android for a few years now, but today Microsoft is rolling out a new program to keep improving the service. The company is recruiting Android fans to beta test new OneNote features as they become available, while also submitting their own requests and suggestions for future improvements.
To get your hands on the latest version of OneNote before everyone else all you have to do is sign up with Microsoft’s new Beta Program. Soon afterwards the company will push out an update, offering access to new features in exchange for your feedback. The company has also set up a new online form where you can vote for ways to improve the app or offer suggestions of your own.
The announcement fits in with new Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s push to get the company’s software and services running on as many devices as possible. Windows Phone isn’t going away any time soon, but Nadella’s putting just as much emphasis on making the best version of Microsoft’s apps available for iOS and Android as well. This new OneNote Beta Program is a solid step forward, and hopefully we’ll see similar programs launch in the near future for other services as well.
