HTC has announced the One (E8) is heading to India by the end of the month.
We’ve known about the HTC One (E8) since late May, but since then it has been fairly quiet. HTC announced in early June that it was heading to China first, but now we know that India will also be receiving the handset.
The One (E8) is a somewhat lower powered version of the One (M8), and sports a polycarbonate body as opposed to the metal materials the company has been leaning towards for its flagship devices. It also drops the Ultrapixel camera in favor of a more traditional 13MP shooter. The version for India is launching with dual SIM support, a 2.5GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 16GB of storage, microSD support up to 128GB, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6, 5-inch HD display and more.
The HTC One (E8) will retail for Rs 34,900 (approx. $580 USD), but no word on where else the handset may show up next.
