Verizon LG G3 Pre-Orders Open Up Starting at $99 On-Contract

The LG G3 is already one of the best smartphones on the market, but today the new smartphone just got even more appealing with a little help from Verizon. The carrier opened up pre-orders for LG’s flagship phone earlier today, offering the device for just $99 on-contract when it ships next week on July 17.

That’s a pretty awesome deal, especially considering that AT&T started selling the LG G3 earlier this week for twice as much at $199 with a two-year contract. Then again, AT&T is offering to throw in the G Watch at half-price, so there are advantages to going with either carrier. If you’re looking to sign a new contract and pick up the LG G3, then Verizon is probably the better choice here unless you’re also planning on picking up an Android Wear smartwatch.

Either way, the LG G3 is an impressive device, offering a massive 5.5-inch 2k display and some powerful specs under the hood. It comes equipped with a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, a 3000mAh battery, a 13-megapixel OIS camera and runs Android 4.4 KitKat with some extra LG software on top. For now the G3 is probably our favorite Android smartphone of 2014, though we understand if you’d rather hold out for the Galaxy Note 4 later this year.
