Sony has announced yet another new addition to the Xperia product line that is headed for Asian markets.
The new Xperia T3 is set to launch in Hong Kong on July 14 for HK$2,998 (approx. $385 USD). There is no word yet as to what other markets might see the T3 – or some variant there of – but we highly doubt that this phone would be released for just one market in such a way.
The Xperia T3 appears to be a mid-range device sporting a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, microSD support up to 32GB, an 8MP rear camera partnered up with a 1.1MP front shooter, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 5.3-inch screen running at 1280 x 720.
This is the second phone announced by Sony this week with a limited initial release with the other device being the Xperia Z2a heading to Taiwan. At the rate Sony is announcing new phones for different regions and price points, you’d almost think it’s borrowing a page from Samsung’s playbook for its own mobile strategy.
