Rogue Legacy is a brilliant little game. The 2-D hack n’ slash is a unique blend of randomness, infuriating difficulty and progressive unlocks.
You’re a knight trying to conquer a multi-floored castle packed with a bunch of beasts. Every time you die, you select a new descendant with unique attributes and traits to play as. Maybe you’re colorblind, maybe you’re tiny, maybe you’re a wizard, maybe you walk really slow. Who knows?
Currently, it’s only playable on PC, Mac and Linux platforms. Starting July 29, Rogue Legacy swings onto the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
It’s being sold complete with all of the updates applied to its PC counterpart, “along with just a little bit more” according to the write-up on the PlayStation Blog.
The best news of this whole bit? Rogue Legacy is Cross-Buy and features Cross-Saves. Buy it once, play it on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. Want to play the same game in-between systems? You can do that too. Fancy pants.
PlayStation owners should definitely consider giving it a crack when it drops on the 29th of this month.
