Flappy Bird Knockoff Arrives on Google Glass

If you somehow missed out on the Flappy Bird craze or just wish you could be playing the popular mobile game at all times, Blinky Bird might just be the knockoff for you, though you’ll need a pair of Google Glass to try it yourself. Blinky Bird is a new Flappy clone from Nothing Labs that you control by blinking thanks to Glass’s built-in eye sensor.

The game is just as simple as ever. Navigate a side-scrolling 2D world of pipes until you eventually collide into one and lose. The only difference is that instead of tapping to flap upwards you’ll be blinking. Google Glass doesn’t recognize single blinks though, so you’ll need to do a quick double blink for each flap. Nothing Labs notes that it can be a bit tricky at first, though there’s also a “tap” mode that presumably uses the device’s built-in touchpad.

To try out Blinky Bird for yourself you’ll need to download and install an APK straight for Nothing Labs. Just hit the source link below to grab the game along with a set of instructions for installation and start flapping.
