We already covered the news that Google has launched a dedicated section of Google Play for Android Wear apps, but this one is really awesome. Lyft has already published an Android Wear application that lets you call up a car right from your wrist. You won’t need to open your smartphone at all.

The latest Android update also comes with shortcuts for home and work, which are probably going to be your best bet for calling a cab from your wrist. Also, according to Android Central, the application will let you know when the driver gets near, which means you can stay inside and out of the rain as long as possible.

Interested parties should be able to get started now, providing you have an Android Wear smartwatch and an Android phone. It all sounds awesome, but you can always hail a cab using your arm, too.
