Sunset Overdrive’s Chaos Squad Co-op Detailed

by Eric Frederiksen | July 2, 2014July 2, 2014 6:30 pm PST

Insomniac revealed today some of the information about the multiplayer element of Sunset Overdrive.

The cooperative mode is called Chaos Squad and looks to be a combination of a mission-based structure and something like Orcs Must Die‘s trap-heavy fortress defense. You’ll jump in with up to eight friends and play through some missions you all vote on. Those missions generate Chaos, and depending on how much Chaos you rake in, the final defense mode becomes more challenging and rewarding.

Better yet, all your single player items carry over to multiplayer and all your multiplayer winnings carry back, making it easy to show off your character and appealing to take time from the single player.

When Sunset Overdrive hits at the end of October, this is going to be one of the first things I check out.
