Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, hitting theaters August 1, is a more audacious project. Compared to Iron Man, Captain America, and the many other popular superheros in the Marvel cadre, Guardians is relatively unknown. As such, it’s a bit more difficult getting people excited about the project; put it this way, it might not be an automatic must-see when it hits theaters for those unfamiliar with Starlord’s antics. But the trailers have so far been promising—and soon you’ll be able to see a portion of the film before it’s even released.
On July 7, 17 minutes of Guardians will be shown at 150 IMAX theaters across the U.S. And the best part? Tickets will be free. This might be just the thing to convince people that this is a serious Marvel project. Given the star power, including Chris Pratt in the leading role, we already knew that. But a free 17 minute teaser? Don’t mind if I do.
In addition to tickets being free, attendees will also receive a limited-edition collectible poster for the film (below). If you’re interested in checking out the screening, you can head to See It First to request tickets. They’re free, so you really don’t have anything to lose. Check out the latest trailer above, and then jump on the tickets before they’re all gone.
