Mention Of Nexus 5 In Yellow Makes Brief Appearance

Even though we didn’t see any new smartphones at Google I/O, the Nexus 5 did show up quite a bit during the company’s opening keynote. And, wouldn’t you know it, it looks as though the handset is getting infused with a bit more color. On the Nexus 5 Google Play page, the devices mysteriously showed an option for yellow; visiting the store right now, I only see black, white and red.

Google hasn’t made any formal announcement just yet, and it looks as though the store has been wiped clean of any mention of yellow. However, with the color showing up on an official Google website, it sure appears as if we’ll see the option become available soon. I’m not too sure how I feel about a bright yellow Nexus 5. A blue one maybe, or maybe even green. If yellow does become an option, I’d be very curious to see what it looks like in person.

Even though the Nexus 5 was released back in October, the device is still among the best available, and offers the best Android experience out there. When (if) this becomes official we’ll be sure to let you know.
