Grand Theft Auto V Modded into a First-Person Shooter

Want to walk through the streets of Los Santos in the first-person? Well, you’re going to have to be able to pull a few strings to allow Xbox 360 mods on Grand Theft Auto V, but those that have that ability can now drive, run n’ gun, and conquer the city straight from their character’s point of view.

Of course, the mod is a little bit rough with the character model bleeding onto the screen in a few places, but it’s a decent start to opening up a whole new perspective on one of the biggest games of all time. Drive at high speeds through the streets, fly a plane, blow up cars with a grenade launcher, even taze a dude. You darkest inhibitions are just one step closer to being realized.

What do you think about it? I’d be willing to try, but better yet, I’m more than happy to sit back and wait for the PC modding community to create something a bit more accessible. Even a step further than that, that PC version of the game could potentially be emulated into the Oculus Rift, and then we would all be in trouble. We’d never have to visit Los Angeles again!
