In Android L, Google is making it easier for folks to run their personal applications and work applications on the same device. This means businesses don’t have to assign employees a completely separate phone. Google said Samsung is sharing Knox with Android, which means greater levels of security on the Android platform in the enterprise space. All data will be separated underneath, so don’t worry about your personal stuff mixing with your work. Nice!
Companies will be able to do bulk-purchases and deployment of apps, and the feature will work with Ice Cream Sandwich and above. Developers don’t need to make any modifications of existing apps to work with the new feature—just simply sit by and wait for Android L to hit later this fall.
