Remember GTA Online’s Supposed Heists? Rockstar Commented on Them this Morning

GTA Online I'm Not a Hipster

Yesterday afternoon, Rockstar posted a blog entry about another one of their many GTA Online content updates. This time around, it was for a pack of goods labelled “I’m Not a Hipster.”

That’s all fine, right? Rockstar’s been pretty consistent with this content delivery.

The fans, of course, are frustrated about something entirely different. They’re still waiting for the Heists mode that was supposed to come to GTA Online this spring, as promised by Rockstar. Folks left tons of comments regarding that missing update and its status below the post itself.

Rockstar responded. The gist? They’re still working on it. Here’s their response, though I added the line break to help legibility.

For those of you asking about other upcoming GTA Online updates, we have lots more in store coming your way soon. We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated.

We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support. Stay tuned for more information on that as well as lots of other ongoing content updates, enhancements and additions to the world of GTA Online that are on the way.

As I see it, there’s a little room for fans to be upset here. Rockstar has been silent for far too long on the matter of Heists and their missing nature.

With that in mind, the studio obviously doesn’t want to release something that simply doesn’t work. I just hope we see Heists in GTA Online before the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V hit shelves.
