So, chances are you are one of the 32 million+ people who have purchased Grand Theft Auto V. You’ve probably already blasted through the storyline, cut down opponents in GTA Online, completed all the stunt jumps, and exploited all the bugs and Easter Eggs. How is Rockstar going to convince you to do it all over again on the next-gen and PC re-release?
Well, just take a look at the visual difference between the PlayStation 3 version and the PlayStation 4 version in this side-by-side comparison trailer from Digital Foundry. I’ll just scratch the surface and point out the better lighting and dynamic shadows, better smoke and particle effects, better water physics, more texture and details to surfaces, further draw distances, and more natural body movement of the characters.
Again, that’s just scratching the surface of the differences. The video speaks enough for itself though, so be sure to give it a watch.
It’s clear to see that the PlayStation 4 brings the game to life in ways that the PlayStation 3 could barely handle. Is a re-release of the best selling game from the last generation enough to convince you to aid in making it the best selling game of this generation as well?
