Dragon Ball: Xenoverse Brings the Legendary Anime into the Next-Gen

Dragon Ball: Xenoverse is the biggest and best looking game in the franchise from Bandai Namco yet, and Dimps is going all out with making sure the series is ready for its graduation into the next generation.

A playable version from the floor at E3 confirms that Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, Buu, Tien, Gohan, Piccolo and Krillin are all playable characters, and with the vast expanses of the Dragon Ball universe, I’m sure more are bound to follow.

Hey Dimps! Can we please get some Chiaotzu in this game! I’m sick of him being overlooked.

Ah, I remember back when Dragon Ball had a soul.

Color me interested in this new game, but I’m not convinced that it looks better than the Mugen-based fan made game, Hyper Dragon Ball Z. This new one follows the formula of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, a game that provided some light thrills but nothing too deep or long lasting. I’m wondering how the two will stack up.

Dragon Ball: Xenoverse will be released for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
