Remember Yarn Yoshi, that gorgeous yarn based 2D platformer announced at New Year’s last year? After a few absences from a few shows and conventions, Nintendo brought it back for its E3 2014 Direct presentation as Yoshi’s Wooly World.

Yoshi’s Wooly World is aiming for the same relaxing style of platforming and exploration found in other Yoshi Island games. The only difference is that it will take on the aesthetic found in Kirby’s Epic Yarn in that everything is made of felt and soft material. The HD makes it even more lifelike.

Beyond that, it’s just simply adorable with great platforming and excellent co-op puzzles. This is classic Yoshi with the happiest presentation imaginable.
