Nintendo finally revealed some of the details about its upcoming Amiibo figures that will work with its Wii U system.
We’ve seen images of the Amiibo figures for some time now, but Nintendo hadn’t revealed many details before today. The new figures will interact with the NFC chip in the Wii U controller to interact with your games, but instead of just being a one-way street, the controller will be able to write information to your Amiibo figure so that it will power up and become more unique the longer you use it.
Super Smash Bros. will be the first game to use the new figures, but there are sure to be many more down the line.
Amiibo figures will be hitting stores this fall.
