The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Gameplay Footage – Hunting the Griffin

CD Projekt RED is hyping The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to be one of the largest and most expansive RPGs ever created, but don’t be fooled by looks alone. The epic scale of the world is not he only selling point of this guaranteed future classic. The game is no slouch in tying together optional quests into the storyline, and just looking like an action packed bloodbath as seen in the demonstration during Microsoft’s press conference at E3.

Our protagonist, Geralt, traverses forests and mountains alike as he uses his tracking abilities to hunt both monsters and other humans.

Bloodstains will allow easier access to find injured beasts, but best be careful because beasts are not the only foul beings in the woods. The blood from a griffin Geralt is hunting leads him right into the middle of a band of bandits. However, he makes quick work of them, and rescues a beautiful damsel in the meantime. He promises to return to her after finding his prey, and indeed he does.

An epic battle ensues on the top of a nearby hill, and Geralt returns to town with the head of his find strapped to the horse. No signs of the lady though.

Along with tracking abilities and the free-flowing combat, Geralt also has the ability to leap and grab onto ledges anywhere in the world.

Keep an eye out for more of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at E3 this year because it is one of the biggest and best games you’ll find. It will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2015.
