The remastered version of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, which won wide critical acclaim and numerous Game of the Year awards, will be available on July 29 for PlayStation 4. We already knew the revamped version was on the way, but it’s nice to hear Sony announce a final release date.
If you haven’t played The Last of Us yet, this is definitely your best bet; the graphics are being upscaled, with improved textures, shadows and lightning, along with higher resolution character models. In addition to the upgraded graphics, the remastered version will include an exclusive cast and director’s commentary for all in-game cinematics, and also include Left Behind, the single player DLC.
Even if you have played The Last of Us, the remastered version might be enough to entice gamers to revisit the post-apocalyptic world. Again, The Last of Us: Remastered will be available July 29, 2014.
