Panzer Dragoon creator Yukio Futatsugi’s Xbox cult-classic, Phantom Dust, has been confirmed for a reboot on the Xbox One.
A recent trademark filed by Microsoft hinted that the game would make an appearance during E3, but Microsoft compared it to Killer Instinct as one of the titles it has always wanted to bring back.
Xbox’s Larry Hryb is even excited for the relaunch, as he addressed the new Phantom Dust in a Twitter post immediately after the reveal trailer.
YES! “Phantom Dust” remastered with all-new gameplay and graphics. Relive the story exclusively on Xbox One

No mention about the gameplay style or if the game will be a free to play title or not, but the thought of a new Phantom Dust on any console alone is enough to be excited. If you’ve never checked out the original, be sure to do so. It is backward compatible on the Xbox 360, and you can find it dirt cheap these days.
