Sony on Monday announced that Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky, which we first caught a glimpse of last December, will make its console debut on PlayStation 4. You’re forgiven if you thought this game was a next generation title; it’s not, but it looks every bit as amazing as some of the other larger IPs put out by bigger publishers with more resources.
Sony showed off a few minutes of No Man’s Sky, giving us a great look at how vast and seamless the game’s universe is—and we mean VAST; the game is procedurally generated, and is promised to be infinite, with dinosaurs, asteroids, dinosaurs, space stations, satellites and more. Players can walk around alien worlds, fly through space, and then fly to another world, all in the space of a few minutes. Just exploring the different planets sounds compelling enough.
