Flickr Removing Facebook and Google Login Support

Flickr Login

In a move that surprises virtually no one, Flickr is going to make a Yahoo account the only way to log into the photo service.

Flickr announced via a post on its forums that the service will begin discontinuing support for Facebook and Google IDs this month. From here on out it will only be a Yahoo login that will work, and seeing as the search giant purchased the company some time ago, it’s only surprising it has taken this long for this to happen.

You can head over to a special landing page to begin the transition process. If you don’t have a Yahoo account yet, you will be able to create one at this time and connect it to your account.

While a small annoyance if you’ve been logging in with one of the other services, it’s a small price to pay for all of the benefits of a Flickr account.
