If you’re in the market for opening up a new line, AT&T has an offer that might be attractive. The carrier is currently offering a $50 Google Play Store credit with each smartphone or tablet activation, provided you sign up for a new two-year agreement on smartphones or a new two-year agreement for data on the tablet. AT&T’s fine print also says it only applies to new smartphone lines and only for purchases made online.

Google Play Credit is great for filling up your smartphone or tablet with new content. The Google Play Store credit can be used towards movie and TV show rentals or purchases, magazine subscriptions and purchases, books and of course paid apps. Once you’ve made your purchase, AT&T will send you a $50 Google Play credit redemption code by email within seven business days, and you simply enter that in the Google Play Store to earn the credit.

AT&T says the deal is only being offered for a limited time, and we don’t know when it ends, so move quick if you find it attractive. You’ll need to redeem your Google Play code by July 31, so it definitely ends by then.
