Well, it’s pretty much a forgone conclusion that the Xperia Z2 tablet is heading to Verizon. Late last month a report from Evleaks claimed the device, which we feel is one of the best Android tablets available, was hitting the carrier, and now we have a press render corroborating that rumor. It doesn’t appear the device will be much different than its current form—you’ll just enjoy the benefits of always having a data connection.

On that note, we imagine the price might be a little tough to swallow seeing as the Wi-Fi model starts at $499. Still, the Xperia Z2 Tablet is an excellent device that offers a lot—and it’s a great alternative to Samsung’s army of slates. The Z2 Tablet sports a 10.1-inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, Android 4.4 KitKat, 6000mAh battery and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. It’s also waterproof rated IP55/58, meaning it shouldn’t bug out if it gets a little wet.

With press renders now hitting the Web, we imagine news will start filtering through pretty soon here. We’ve reached out to Sony for comment, and will update when we hear back.
