AT&T HTC One Gets Major Update

HTC One Review - Hardware - Front - Screen

We try not to pester you with very single minor update that every phone gets, only sticking to the big updates you should really care about. This is one of those times. Verizon and Sprint recently updated the HTC One (M7) to Sense 6 and, as of today, AT&T is also rolling out the update. Sense 6 made its debut on the One (M8) and HTC touched every pixel when it redesigned the user interface.

My favorite feature is the much more customizable BlinkFeed, but I also like how certain apps like the weather, BlinkFeed, Gallery and more all have color splashes that stretch right up into the status bar. Speaking of the gallery, it was also completely redone in Sense 6 and looks better than ever before. Overall, if you like Sense you’ll really like Sense 6, and I think even some folks who haven’t been fans of Sense in the past will reconsider. As we mentioned when the update hit Sprint and Verizon’s models, this doesn’t include some of the features that are unique to the One (M8), like Extreme Power Saving Mode.

Head to settings to manually check for the update right now. It may take a little bit to hit your handset, but it’s rolling out. Oh, and as always, it’s probably a good idea to back up all your stuff ahead of time.
