Apple is adding a new Family Sharing feature to iOS 8 that makes multiple devices easier to manage among big families. For example, you can setup a shared calendar, reminders, photo streams and more—even Find My Friends. The family photo stream is a terrific idea for vacation-type situations, making it easier to share among a larger group of people.

All purchases from every family member is available to everyone, finally allowing folks to merge iTunes libraries. If Little Todd purchases Minecraft, Little Roy can then download that, too. And when Little Todd tries to make an in-app purchase, he’ll be prompted to ask for permission from an adult, making sure kids don’t rack up thousands on accident.
