We’ve already seen countless photos of the iPhone 6 dummy units floating around, but it looks like the first real photo of Apple’s upcoming smartphone may have leaked online as well. A new photo obtained by Macfixit appears to show the iPhone 6 back panel covered in a layer of green protective plastic.
The alleged iPhone 6 photo lines up perfectly with the design on display in dummy models, though that could also mean this leak is simply another dummy mockup. However, the inclusion of Apple’s logo on the back has us thinking this might just be the real thing. Macfixit claims the image comes from a Chinese source and shows the upcoming 4.7-inch iPhone 6.
Besides its bigger screen, the iPhone 6 is expected to offer a faster processor, a 1704 x 960-pixel display, a redesigned camera, and run iOS 8. Apple probably won’t unveil its next smartphone until September, but we’re expecting to get a look at the new mobile operating system next week at WWDC 2014, which we’ll be covering live from California.
