Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Gets PlayStation Release Date

Spring is coming for PlayStation 3 and 4 users – Electronics Arts has confirmed what some pretty obvious tweets recently hinted at: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is heading to PlayStation 3 and 4 this summer.

American gamers can look forward to getting their green thumbs on the game August 18, while European gamers will wait a few more days – August 22.

While PlayStation owners have had to wait a bit longer than Xbox owners to jump into PopCap HD’s gorgeous, colorful world, they do get a few bonuses. All DLC released to-date will be included on-disc, including the Garden Variety DLC and the Zomboss Down DLC.

Those tweets yesterday weren’t, it turns out, just jokes. Following Valve’s hat-centric approach to game customization, PlayStation players who preorder the game will get access to Hat Packs from Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, and Fat Princess.¬†Finally, the game also features Vita Remote Play and Split Screen play on PlayStation 4.

No specifics are available yet on price, but we can expect they’ll look something like the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions.
