Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Takes the Dark Knight into Outer Space

The world’s most popular building blocks are once again teaming up with the world’s most popular vigilante. Warner Bros. and developer TT Games are bringing Batman and Lego together in Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, only this time, they plan to take the series to even new heights.

Quite literally too, as Batman will no longer be fighting crime in Gotham City, but rather, he will be taking on the Legion of Doom in outer space. The game starts off with The Joker, among other villains, taking over The Watchtower space station, and it’s up to Batman and other members of the Justice League to restore order. Only once they do, they’ll have to team up with their foes to stop the looming threat of Brainiac.

Of course, no Lego game would be the same if it plays its storyline totally straight, so you can expect all the chuckles and giggles that usually accompany the Lego games despite the seriousness of the situation.

The Lego Batman games have all been made in good fun and have been widely successful, and they also complement the brooding Batman: Arkham games nicely. Expect this one to do the same when it is released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, 3DS, Vita and PC. More to come as Warner Bros. announces it.
