Lenovo just announced the 5.5-inch Vibe Z earlier this year, but it looks like the company is already prepping an even bigger follow-up Android device. The alleged Vibe Z2 Pro leaked out today on Chinese social network Weibo, offering one picture and a spec sheet for the upcoming device.
Based on today’s leak the Vibe Z2 Pro will offer a 6-inch 2560 × 1440-pixel display, a 16-megapixel camera with OIS and dual-LED flash, dual-SIM support, a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, a 4000mAh battery, NFC, and 4G capability. The new handset also looks pretty sleek with a thin 7.7mm frame, a simple slate design and slightly curved edges.
Lenovo hasn’t had much success breaking into the U.S. market, and we don’t expect to see the Vibe Z2 Pro land on American shores any time soon. The Chinese company is expected to use Motorola, which it acquired from Google earlier this year, to target U.S. customers, while it continues to fight for dominance in China using its own popular brand.
Still, it’s exciting to see the alleged Vibe Z2 Pro leak out, and we’re looking forward to the official announcement. Considering how recently the Vibe Z was announced, however, it could be a while before Lenovo unveils its new smartphone.
